Grace

Webster’s Dictionary definition of GRACE: Unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification.

God has shown to us his unmerited favor by sending his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross that we might have forgiveness of sin and a relationship with Him.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ… For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. . .. God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), … when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. …  For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast  .. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace…  “I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” …  As it is written:  “There is none righteous, no, not one; …  Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets. even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe ….  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,  … Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. …  that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. …  to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace … Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord,….who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,  but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
